Dynamo curates an immersive and intimate environment to elevate compelling voices
MEET THE FOUNDERS
Starting a production company is neither easy nor obvious, but almost ten years ago in rural North Dakota it seemed like both. After graduating from NYU’s Tisch School of Film and TV, DYNAMO co-founder Oliver Anderson was shooting premium series for HBO (‘24/7’), Showtime (‘All Access’ and ‘The Circus’), and ESPN, among others. At this point in his career, Anderson decided to take time off to make a passion project about bull riding and enlisted the help of friend, colleague, and DYNAMO co-founder Louis Burgdorf.
“Working on something that was our own singular vision for how a story should be told was eye opening. We ran a small, energetic team which meant we could be visually inventive in the moment and paint intimate portraits of our subjects.”
The execution of that philosophy, the quality of the work, and the sense of creative accomplishment ultimately led Anderson and Burgdorf to create DYNAMO.
Louis Burgdorf is an Emmy-nominated Director and Producer, and the co-founder of DYNAMO. Previously, Burgdorf was the Senior Producer and Correspondent for MSNBC’s flagship morning show, “Morning Joe”, and also served as host of “Morning Joe First Look.” Over the last decade, he covered some of the biggest stories in news, politics, pop-culture, and entertainment.
